Yes We Can

The Ara of Racism, hatred, had passed, and we are in a time where no one is better than the other. We live here in this nation with respect, dignity, and freedom of right.
Some people are still have some of that mentality, in which we as human being are. But we have the capability to change and be better people instead.

A mosque and a community Center is permitted by the New York City Code and Regulations, is being opposed by a few of people who are racists and not updated that We have Mr. Barak Obama as the USA President. The are claiming to stop the building of the mosque where we are defending it and defending the law of the USA and the New York City Codes as well, Not only that but we are defending any other religious institutions that may be opposed as well.

Parking issue is not a concern at all. People of the area are living within a walking distance from the proposed site. Traffic is an issue that every one has to look at it and we are more concern than any one else as residents of the area.

We are part of Sheepshead Bay Area as home owners, business owners, students, workmen and women, and as US citizens. The value of the area is improving and will attract lots of people to live in safe, peaceful and great neighborhood.

The Center will be a community facility to make the community better and enhance it in many was, Real Estate will go up due to the demand of the area. Youth will have better alternatives instead of hanging out in the corners, English as a second language will be improved to communicate better and be part of the community, where Russians and Arabs populations are there. After school help will be provided for the community kids. in addition Muslims will have a place to worship as others are doing.

In conclusion, We, as Muslims, have the right to practice our religion in the right way that is peaceful, moderate, and in compliance with the US rules and law. A way that not the media is making it. In away that reflects our religion where the prophet Mohamed was a neighbor to a Jew, and welcomed Christians and greeted them in his Mosque, in away that is not extreme or radical as some of us misunderstand it, which can happen to any group regardless their faith. So lets be united instead of being divided and live in this great nation together under the same umbrella.

Thank you
